- By January 2012 the Amazon Kindle Fire accounted for 36% of all Android devices in use. Amazon claims that they were selling 1 million per week.
- The USA Today app had 260,000 downloads on the Kindle Fire vs 130,000 downloads on other Android tablets. For comparison, the iPad version had more than 2.9 million downloads.
- According to Chitika, for every 100 ads delivered to an iPad, 1.5 are delivered to the Xoom, 1.5 to the Galaxy Tab and 1.5 to the Kindle Fire.
- nVidia's CEO is not pleased with Android tablet sales numbers, at least the ones that ship with an nVidia Tegra (all of them?)
- Unlike Apple, Amazon, Motorola and other Android tablet vendors refuse to disclose their numbers.
